I'm surprised they even bothered fixing box syncing at this point.

The new res scrolls aren't so bad looking. At least one fireball won't wipe a newly resurrected party anymore, and Livia and Razah will have enough energy to use PwK upon resurrecting.
It's good to see that they're addressing the syncing problem but they could always terminate the abusers' accounts. Is that too much like bad business when you've got a new game to sell?

Energy gain when resurrected, but no more teleport to user's location? Not sure if that's a good trade off or not...

How many battles does it take to go from 1000 to 950?

About five.

If you're legitimately below that rating and enjoy GvGing, nothing.
The fix is quite explicitly targeted at individuals/organizations syncing those <500 rating guilds you see on observer mode once in a while.

If it hits an account that a user was planning on using in GW2, it still hurts badly.
I'm curious how res scrolls were getting abused to warrant the change.

I somehow doubt that they're dumb enough to use real accounts.

I don't know how myself but from what I understand people could use res scrolls to tele to the other side of many closed doors, letting people get speed clear times as low as 2 minutes for some dungeons.

That's correct slavers you could jump walls and skip several minutes now we will have to retrace many unneeded steps guess this calls for new build records

Unneeded?
Just because you abused the system doesn't mean said steps are unneeded. People playing the game as intended won't be effected by this at all. Only those wanting to cheat the system will

I didn't know about Slavers' Exile but I knew that careful use of res scrolls could teleport players through the walls that separate DoA sections. For example, if the team chose to begin in City, they could move a few people through the 'wall' in to the back of Foundry. This means you could split up, skip a lot of mobs and finish in record time.

I didn't know about abuses, if so I'm happy they changed the scrolls functionality. After all, the range is so small that teleport was never really much useful in normal play, and the energy bonus is always useful.

I prefer the energy to the teleport as well. Unlike Rebirth, allies resurrected by these scrolls do (well, did) aggro mobs in their aggro bubble and, like I mentioned before, one AoE skill can wipe out your newly balled party with 25% health and DP. At least they'll be spread out now.

Find the rez scroll update kind of annoying though... I guess we'll have to be more careful now where we die, if we decide to duo farm somewhere.
Now if they could please remove the skill recharge functionality from essence of celerity... it's being abused the most and won't affect normal play (give it a pip of energy regen or something instead).

I'm not terribly happy with the Rez scroll change. 25% energy is not a good tradeoff for, in essence rebirth. I can understand wanting it changed, but surely this hurts more than helps.
